oh hi everyone!
only a week late this year, it's time for my OHAYOCON JOURNAL!

SO!
OHAYOCON THIS YEAR WAS SO COOL.
let's start at the beginning, now! when we get to the end, we'll stop!

FRIDAY!
friday was a bit sad, actually. we got there late mostly on accident, but partly because all of my plans were torn to shreds like a delicate prop at a rave on Tuesday night. it was kind of a nightmare getting a room, a ride, etc., but i'm just glad i could make it! so when i FINALLY GOT THERE at vaguely 10:00 i had missed my panel and i was
HEART.
BROKEN.

i was about to cry. but i jumped into Sealand gear, jumped into Hong Kong, switched from Liechtenstein to England, and we were the British empire and we walked around for about half an hour with our darling before we got tired and went to bed. but i'm glad i went on friday night, because it really helped me calm down! there's really nothing like a convention to make you feel happy and so at home. .u.
then we went up to our room where was already practically asleep and which my JERK BIG BROTHER's mom had gotten for us! and then we slept and everything was prefect.

SATURDAY!
so! on saturday, it was SSBB DAY! was Naruto's Karin, but I was Pit(ty. see journal "Glossary time." ), was Mario, was Ike(y), and was THE BEST WIFEY EVER! <3 i hadn't had time to finish my or ikey's weapons, so i had a warp star and she carried this EPIC SMASH BALL that our wifey made! thank you wifey, by the way, ilu. we chatted with our first mr. cheapo-hallway-sleeper-guy dozing under a table next to the down elevators, and then the first thing we did was go to registration! in the epic fail of the planning this year, we hadn't gotten pre-reg badges, so we had to wait in the line. what a line. it was MASSIVE! there were a ton of people, and by the time we got through, it had wound approximately in the shape of a large, spilled bowl of ramen. we did get some super pictures in line, though! there was a roxas with oblivion and a china with a poland and a PRECIOUS PRUSSIA. she was SO PRETTY. and two links! specifically, a Pink and a Stink, but i digress! then we grabbed some edibles very quickly and went back upstairs to change.
for the HETALIA PHOTO SHOOT!
so, naturally, ikey, wifey, and i all turned into the british empire (which, by the way, THE SUN NEVER SETS ON) and ran down to the stairs! and then IT STARTED! we met up with this really funny Russia with vodka and an epic hat (by the way, i found him! it's ) and we all got onto the stairs in blobs and groups and took amazing pictures! there was a China there who had been a Hinata we travelled with for a little while last year, and i met a really tall Su-san who i kind of adopted as my daddy! (HETALIA DADDY, daddy.) and i clung to him and it was good that i didn't creep him out or anything, because there was a France who once came up and said to me,

"Hey, Sealand! i'll help you become a country!" *France wink*
and i was like, "DO NOT WANT" so i backed away and hid behind Su-san
but then he stared to come around Su-san so i backed up more
RIGHT INTO A GROUP OF ENGLANDS
AND THEY WERE LIKE, "I'VE GOT YOU NOW, SEALAND!"
and i was like "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA--"
and then MY IGGY, THE wholesomeAWESOME ONE AND SU-SAN REACHED OUT THEIR HANDS AND SAVED ME
and then i clung to them for a long time.
but as i always say, better safe than France'd!

then we went back to the room and got back into SSBB gear again! we then walked around for a little while, and we bought some stuff at the dealer's room, most notably for myself A GUNDAM. i got Arios! he's an adorable little kit that right now is only half-finished, but i'll put up a picture as soon as i have one! and i should have seen it as a sign, because right after that, I RAN INTO THE ONLY GUNDAM COSPLAYERS I SAW ALL WEEKEND! i saw a haro and a brown-haired guy in green walking down the hall so i screamed "LOCKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNN!" at the top of my lungs and ran over and it turned out to be Lyly but that was okay. i gave him and his setsuna a hug anyway. .u. then i went and crashed the DGM photoshoot, where there was an ADORABLE Road and a couple of nice Kandas and Allens along with two extremely in-character komuis! then we met up with the dashing lady
(note: do not stare at her icon for too long.)
and we were SO HAPPY TO SEE HER!
and we ate and then we went and lined up for the masquerade!

the line was already approaching spilled-ramen length when we got there, but it only got longer. to pass the time, there were a couple of Princess Monoke Kodama who played some games with us, and Mario and Rach, who was a loli maid by then, tried to do some homework, but failed fantastically. oh, and we saw ! she was Rin, and she was adorable! when the line finally started moving, everyone gave everyone high-fives down the line, and some people started screaming out STDs as they hit every hand. it was pretty funny. xD
the skits this year were pretty cool! the most notable one was the "sexy kitchen" skit, not for its Soul Eater content that i didn't get but because of the instantly-memetic "SEXY kitchen!" line. also, Yo-Yo Bridget and Paddleball Tiedoll were back this year by Special Request of Stripper Vash, the emcee-ish guy! but even more awesomely, this year, there was a SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER THERE! her name was Cecelia, i believe, but we all called her CC. she was really cheerful and really great at dancing, too!

after the masquerade, we wandered around for a bit! wifey and i stumbled into the SSBB tournament room, which was pretty funny. xD everyone was like, "OMG LOOK IT'S MARTH_{and that funny little angel kid}! WOW!" and then we cheered on our characters, but we lost. then we tried to do some karaoke, but the line was an hour long and we were tired, so we just danced a hare hare yukai and went to see if we could do some DDR! but then a staff member tossed his very inebriated cookies onto the table and we left. we went to maddy's house and slept on couches! we video-chatted with for a little, then i got the cheetah-print blanket, and we fell asleep watching the second Pokemon movie together.


SUNDAY!
Sunday was a pretty stress-free day! Hobo was Mario, Rach was a loli maid, i was Sea-kun, and maddy was herself! we got in around 10-ish after a lively breakfast of cinnamon rolls, chocolate, and happiness, and then we just strolled around, taking a few pictures and buying gifts for people we had promised and people we hadn't. then we went back to maddy's house and WE PLAYED THE ORANGE BOX!
it was SO COOL! first we played portal! we played level 15, and we got through one part of the challenge, but we kept falling into the gunk, so we gave up and played half-life 2. eventually, though, we got tired of smacking a robot with a crowbar and worked on the gunk problem again, but then my mom came and we had to go. we said a lot of goodbyes and schedule-timings, and then we bid Columbus farewell!

SO! in conclusion! i have learned how to abuse the CAPSLOCK and italics buttons to their fullest, and so should you! always pre-register for a con! have boatloads of fun every day that you can and DON'T EVER GET TRAPPED IN A CORNER WITH FRANCE.
